Relay of Friendship

This little blog has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself...a little place to share and vent, create and give, and bluntly take on life's little challenges.  Today, Lindsay, from Scenic Glory, a new blogger friend of mine, passed me the baton for the Relay of Friendship.  Thanks, Lindsay!  You should  visit her.  She has a peaceful, beautiful, little blog with dreamy pictures, and she loves suitcases and thrifting!  A girl after my own heart...

So, I gladly accept the baton, and pass it on to these lovely, blogger ladies! Go and see them.  You won't be disappointed.

And now the questions:

What did you first want to be when you grew up? A veterinarian.  I loved animals and grew up on a farm.  Still love animals and wish I could bring them all home!

(from our recent trip to the zoo)

Favorite Cartoons?  The Smurfs and The Pink Panther  (yes, that dates me, doesn't it?)

Favorite childhood game?  Making my brothers play school and fill out all the worksheets that my teachers used to let me bring home.  Oh, they hated it!  I wonder how they would fare in my real classroom now. *wink*

(wait, I think that is one of my students in this cartoon!)
Favorite birthday?  Has to be 40.  It's been fabulous!  And I didn't think it would be.

Something you have always wanted to do and haven't done yet?  Get a tattoo.  I want one that says "Momma Birdie" with an owl and also one that says "We Met on the Web" with the little goth girl EveL and her boy.  That's how I met my sweet man.  :)

What was your first love?  I'll answer this one a little bit differently than most...my first craft love...scrapbooking!  And now I have so many DIY ideas, lists, projects, and things to make anything with, that it's overwhelming and I almost get nothing done.  Any tips?  :)

First musical idol?  Hmmm...I loved and still love Steven Curtis Chapman. Here is a favorite:

Favorite gift?  Finding my soul mate in the most round-a-bout, least unexpected way. And, my children.

If a theme song played for you everywhere you went, what would it be?   Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Callait.
Favorite city to visit?  I haven't been there yet, but I flew over it...New York City.  One of these days...until then I will live vicariously through Nat the Fat Rat.  She gives the best descriptions and stories of her life in and of NYC...really.

There you have it!  Just a little bit of me.  Go, girls!
