{The Vintage Cook} : from Warm Bouquet and

Here's our first family recipe set for {The Vintage Cook} series! Elizabeth from Warm Bouquet shares this:

This is a recipe that my mom came up with year ago and my family absolutely LOVES it! When I make it, I double the recipe and freeze it in gallon containers for future meals.

Whole Meal in a Bowl

Ingredients
2Tbsp olive oil
1 Lrg garlic clove, crushed
3/4 C onion chopped
6 C chicken broth
1 tsp salt
8 oz Reames egg noodles (or similar)
6 C milk
2 10oz pkgs frozen, chopped spinach (thawed and rinsed)
2 C chicken, cooked & diced
1/2 lb shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 lb shredded Swiss cheese

Directions
Heat oil & saute onion and garlic in stock pot. Add broth and heat to boiling. Gradually add noodles and salt. Cook uncovered until noodles are tender. Reduce heat. Stir in milk meat and spinach. Add cheese a little at a time until all is melted and mixed well. Cook
until heated through.  DO NOT BOIL!!!

**Any cooked meat may be used, it will give the soup a unique taste according to the type of meat used.**

YUM!  Anything with egg noodles and cheese, I'm in!  This sounds great for those spring nights when it's still a little chilly outside.  Thank you, Elizabeth.  Stop in and tell her hello, here

I'm linking up with Tasty Tuesday at FTLOB!  See you there!
