Coconut Cream Pie with a Praline Bottom...repost

Since I have some new readers from the last time I posted this recipe, and, it's a family favorite, AND, it's almost Easter and this will be one of the desserts I take with me...here is the recipe for:

Coconut Cream Pie with a Praline Bottom
(I'll  have a new picture for you on Sunday)

For the Praline Bottom:
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/3 c. butter or margarine
1/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar

Place in sauce pan and bring to a boil.  Boil for 30 seconds.  Pour into bottom of baked pie shell.

For Pudding Filling:
2 small pkgs. instant vanilla pudding
2 1/4 c. cold milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cup flaked coconut

Pour milk into a bowl and add pudding and mix until it thickens.  Add vanilla and coconut.  Pour on top of praline in crust.

Top pie with whipped topping and sprinkle more coconut on top.  This is delish!  It's very rich, but it's worth every bite.  Enjoy!

I'm linking up with Tasty Tuesday at For the Love of Blogs.  Those girls are as sweet as this pie.  :)
