I used to be an EMT

I haven't answered any questions like these in a while, but some of you may not know much about this Momma Birdie, and these give you a vivid peek into some history!

1. Have you ever had surgery?
Yes, gall bladder removed (thank goodness), wisdom teeth removed,  and some girl surgery after my last little one was born. Pondering neck surgery, but I will do what I can to avoid that one at all costs for sure.

2. Ever ride in an ambulance?  All the time.  I was an EMT before I was a teacher.  Hardest job I have ever had.  Although, it is fun to drive; not fun to work in the back.  I am too sensitive and had a hard time getting over losing patients that we transported sometimes.  Also, I rode in the back of one in a bikini (yikes!) taking my own son to the hospital after a fall at the local pool.

3. How are you in a medical emergency? Panicked? Calm?
When the adrenaline kicks in on a run, it's easy to think and do what you need to do; when it kicks in if you know them, the thought process of what you need to do goes OUT the window.

4. Do you have a garden? Flowers or veggies?
I wish I had a green thumb.
I kill everything.  I'm rather good at growing poison ivy, even if it's been sprayed with special poison to kill it.

5. When did you move out of your parents house?
In the winter of 1989.  I moved to college.  Then I came back.  Sorry, mom.  Ha!
I'm linking up here...come see some new faces!

  1. I want to grow a garden this summer so bad! But I'm like you, my thumbs are certainly not green. :P

It was nice to get to know you a little better!
