I've been collecting vintage papers and cards and ephemera since William and I started going to estate sales about 8 years ago. Cards...invitations...old checkbooks (before they had account numbers on them...what?), receipts, plane tickets, game pieces, playing cards, recipe cards, magazines...whew...should I keep going? Children's books, postage stamps, old photographs and albums, cookbooks, decorating books....you get the idea. If it's made of paper, I scout it. If it stinks, I leave it (most of the time). If it's stained, I usually toss it (I've pitched lots of envelopes too...who wants to lick an old envelope? haha...)
So...here you go! These pictures only give you a GLIMPSE of what I have. I'll let the pictures do the talking...

I have a huge collection of vintage paper goodness to sort and list online, too. Gorgeous collection!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love them? I can't bear to part with any of mine yet. Maybe one day. :)
DeleteI just found your blog! I love the old papers. It's like taking a step back in time. And they're cute too!

Thanks! Me too. There is just something about them that is comforting. I'm not sure what. :)
