Bling your Bib

This little princess diva is
turning one next month,

and her momma has big plans for a fancy party.  We had some zebra fabric left
over from her baby shower,

which is coincidentally much
like the birthday party planned. So I decided that she needed a bib that matched her personality.  Here's how I did it:

Found some cute Gerber bibs at Target to use for the base, and cut the shape of the bib from the scrap of fabric I had.

Lay the cut fabric on top of the side that you want to cover, and turn the edges under to stitch to the Gerber bib.  You will want to snip the curve of the neck line to ease the fabric around the bib neck.

Find some wide satin ribbon, and stitch along the edge to gather it.

Stitch the ribbon to the front of the bib (the side that you stitched the fabric to).  I had trouble deciding if the pink trim of the bib needed to show with the ruffle underneath, but I opted to stitch it on top for drama.

Tie a pretty bow in the same ribbon, and tack it to the back of the bib.  Be sure to leave the velcro open so that the bib will still close at the neck.  And then find a Baby Alive to model for you.

Isn't it cute?
