Love Week

This week at school is Love Week. We sponsor one family or student that is struggling with life's circumstances and we celebrate their strength and let them know we are behind them all the way. The entire district is involved and we all participate in activities and fundraisers to raise money and awareness for their cause. This year it is for a little kindergarten boy with leukemia. There are t-shirts, dress up days, buttons, newscasts, activities, and lots of love and thought put into the whole week. Here I am with my bestie, Mel, on "I love my best friend!" dress up day.

We love Love Week!

It's also been a "love"ly week at home too. I made an early V-Day breakfast for my bunch...

Banana pancakes from (sort of) scratch with fresh strawberries and bananas. Yum! I'll post the recipe for you. Then William got Kate and I some stuffed love with candy...

An owl for me and a puppy for Kate. Bo got a Tech Deck mini skateboard and candy from his favorite girl....his momma! Haha! I made a heart out of wedding and engagement pics on our bathroom mirror for my man, and he wrote me a poem the next morning. *love*

"roses are red; violets are blue; this marker is niether but I still love you!" I told you he is witty!!

And we also helped at the school winter formal this past weekend with my PALs kids. Katie liked the wax lips.

It's been quite the large red-hearted time! I love you guys for reading and being a part of Feed the Birdies...Happy Love Week!!

  3. You have had a really great week! I love the pics of your Valentine's Day celebration and I also think it's so cool that you do that for families at the school. Very commendable! I would love to find some type of volunteer work like that here in the area.....
