{Upcycled Vintage}: Children's Books Challenge!

Here's your first challenge!  I was going to wait until Tuesday, but I was so excited about it that I finished my projects, took some pics and here you go!  I have several vintage children's books in my closet, and here are a few I have picked up lately. So, with that, I decided to make a pretty bookmark for a friend (an Easter themed one at that), and then I used the Bullwinkle book to make a scrapbook page of my "moose," my big boy (man) in his football uniform.  I liked how the words on the Bullwinkle page fit Brady too, "big, funny feet," and he loves to eat.  Haha!  This book was copyright 1962 and the price was 29 cents then.  The other book was copyright 1968 and was part of a series of Sunny Books.
Here they are!

The bookmark is the page layered in vellum, with ribbon gathered and a rose embellishment.  I looped the ribbon through a vintage button on the front of the card.

I used a vintage dictionary page and some other papers in my stash that I had to layer this one.  I love it!  Do you know how long it has been since I scrapbooked?  Forever!

Anyway, show me what you did!  You have the week to link up.  I can't wait to see!  If you want to sponsor one of my challenges, let me know!
