Old school kickball in my neighborhood...

I swear, we did not make him do this, Ann.  Haha! Save it for his first date.  :)

It's not very often that you see a neighborhood full of kids playing kickball after school, with one of the dads coaching and refereeing the game (he also broke for commercials that he made up, hence the video, haha!).  We had 14 kids from our street and a few other close ones having a ball, literally.  Katie kept riding her bike through the middle of the game and the kids would just stop and watch her...haha! So cool to see them kick it, old school. I wish more kids in more neighborhoods got out and played like this.  I think there would be a lot less mischief going on.  Don't you remember playing?

  5. I love it. I grew up on a circle, we ran, road, skated and played around and around all day, everyday day. When the sun went down it was time to go in.

I hope that my kids get to play in the front yard as they get older- it is so fun.

    Best,

  8. Oh these photos made me smile!! We live in a world where it's difficult to pull a child away from their computer, TV or PS3 for family dinner ...so seeing FOURTEEN+ of them outside laughing, having fun, and getting exercise is an amazing sight to see :)
