Every once in a while I'll find something that brings back my childhood in a giant way. Today at the thrift store (I really went to find a small table for my reading nook in my new bedroom) I noticed this was still there...I saw it last week...and do you know what makes it so cool? Number one: it's from Montgomery Ward. I remember going there with my grandma. Number two: the staples were still in the box and it had never been opened. Ever. Number three: It's avocado green. Number four: Movie night around here just got a lot more fun.
Sorry for the bad pics...I was too tired lazy to edit tonight.
My little owl looks like he's wearing a space helmet, doesn't he? :)
It will even butter it while it pops. Remember? Who's coming over this weekend?
And, for all of my friends and readers waiting to see our new place, here are a few pics...just excuse the few things that are still scattered about. I love having all of out mid century pieces in here, even though the house was built just a few years ago.
1. My little reading nook with my grandpa rocker and cool lamp. 2. Katie's play room/my craft room. I won't show you the craft side yet...still working on it. 3. Front entry. 4. In the dining room. 5. Zenith made it here. She will soon be poised beautifully below a flat screen one day.
I'll get the kitchen ready and show you some pics of that this week. Let the blogging begin, again!! Yay!
Love the find. Popcorn is a favorite of mine. I also love your decor sneak peeks. It is refreshing to see that I am not the only one with hundreds of books on the Ikea shelf.
ReplyDeleteOh my god, I loved the air popper when I was younger!! They don't make 'em like that anymore... great find! Your house is cute... I like it :)
