Summer of Love in Vintage

Summertime's been easy here this year...lots of sunshine and swimming and quick weekend trips and hunting vintage goodies.  Catching up on reading and journals and scrapbooks and taking three classes to build a better blog and tell a better story.  Making a night time journal entry a habit, and now I can't stay away. Meeting for lunch with friends and sending my mini me on play dates and running around like a crazy woman to get the stuff done that she hates to tag along for.  It's almost over, and vacation for us won't be until fall. Where have you been all summer long? Are you writing it down and taking pictures?

Journal class:  Summer of Love by Classes Kara Made.  Supplies:  vintage children's reader, 1957; Better Homes and Gardens book, 1960; vintage Current Fold-A-Note, vintage birthday wrapping paper, October Afternoon "Road Map" stickers, Jillibean Soup chipboard letters in woodgrain, vintage postage stamp, and washi tape.

  1. Wow! These are awesome Trina! I love how you use red in your journal pages. It's a color I usually shy about from, but I think you have inspired me! Thanks for sharing. :)

    1. Thank you! Red is my favorite color, and I pretty much find it in every one I finish. Try it sometime...you might like how it says, hey, look here! Haha!

  2. Wow! I love the look of this book and how you used vintage papers for it! It reminds me of the books my mom read as achild--it was always such a treasure to find them at my grandmother's house, all covered in her doodles!
